കോടഞ്ചേരി പ്രവാസിസംഗമം നടത്തി

ലണട്ന്‍: കേരളത്തിന്റെ കുടിയേറ്റ ഭൂപടത്തിന്റെ സാംസ്കാരിക തലസ്ഥാനമായ കോടഞ്ചേരിയില്‍നിന്നു യുകെയിലേക്കു കുടിയേറിയവരുടെ ഒന്‍പതാമത് സംഗമം ജൂണ്‍ എട്ട്, ഒന്‍പത്, പത്ത് തീയതികളില്‍ ഡെവണിലെ ബ്രൂണേല്‍ മാനറില്‍ ആഘോഷിച്ചു.
ഫാ. ജിമ്മി സെബാസ്ററ്യന്‍ നയിച്ച വിശുദ്ധ കുര്‍ബാനയോടെ ചടങ്ങുകള്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചു. തുടര്‍ന്നു വിവിധ കായിക പരിപാടികള്‍ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. സ്പോര്‍ട്സ് കോഓര്‍ഡിനേറ്റര്‍മാരായ രാജീവ് വാവലുകുന്നേല്‍, ബിനോയ് മക്കോളില്‍, തോമസ് ചൂരപ്പൊയ്കയില്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കി. അത്ലറ്റിക്സ്, ഫുട്ബോള്‍, വടംവലി തുടങ്ങിയ വിവിധ ഇനങ്ങളില്‍ പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ക്കും സ്ത്രീകള്‍ക്കും കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കും പ്രത്യേകം മത്സരങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നു.
ഉച്ചയ്ക്കുശേഷം കലാവിരുന്നിനു സംഗമം സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിച്ചു. പ്രായഭേദമെന്യേ കുട്ടികളും മുതിര്‍ന്നവരും കലാപരിപാടികളില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. ജിജി പ്രിന്‍സ് ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തി ജാനിസിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ആലപിച്ച കോടഞ്ചേരി തീം സോംഗ് ഏവരുടേയും പ്രശംസ പിടിച്ചുപറ്റി.
മൂന്നാം ദിവസം സമൂഹ പ്രാര്‍ഥനയോടെ പരിപാടികള്‍ തുടങ്ങി. തുടര്‍ന്നു റാഫിള്‍, സമ്മാനദാനം എന്നിവ നടത്തി. ജോയി ഏബ്രാഹം, സജി വാമറ്റം, സുനില്‍ കുന്നത്, ജിന്‍സി അനില്‍, ജാസ്മിന്‍ ലാല്‍സണ്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ പരിപാടികള്‍ക്കു നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കി.
മുന്‍വര്‍ഷങ്ങളിലെ പോലെ ഇത്തവണയും നാട്ടില്‍നിന്നെത്തിയ മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ സംഗമത്തില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. ചടങ്ങില്‍ കോടഞ്ചേരിക്കാരനായ ആര്‍ച്ച്ബിഷപ് മാര്‍ ജോര്‍ജ് വലിയമറ്റത്തിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹ സന്ദേശം ചടങ്ങില്‍ വായിച്ചു. അടുത്ത സംഗമം 2017 ജൂലൈ ഏഴ്, എട്ട്, ഒന്‍പത് തീയതികളില്‍ സോമര്‍സെറ്റില്‍ നടക്കുമെന്നു ഭാരവാഹികള്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
പുതിയ ഭാരവാഹികളായി ലാല്‍സണ്‍ കെ. പോള്‍ കൊല്ലംകുടിയില്‍ (പ്രസിഡന്റ്), ഷിജി ബെന്നി (വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ്), ബിനോയ് ജേക്കബ് മക്കോളില്‍ (സെക്രട്ടറി), സൗമ്യ സെബാസ്ററ്യന്‍ (ജോ.സെക്രട്ടറി), സജി ജോസഫ് ചക്കാലയില്‍ (ട്രഷറര്‍) എന്നിവരെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.
